During the month of November and December, please stop by any of the Competition Auto group locations and drop off a winter coat for those in need. The Coat Drive is a city-wide effort run by New York Cares which aims to collect 125,000 coats each year and distribute them to New Yorkers who need them most in the colder months. The Coat Drive has been running for 29 years and counting, having collected and distributed 1.7 million winter coats to-date, thanks to generous New Yorkers The 29th Annual Coat Drive officially launches on November 14 and runs through December 31. Donating food to Island Harvest is one of the simplest ways you can make a difference in the lives of your neighbors and help us feed the hungry on Long Island. Mercedes-Benz of Smithtown will once again " Fill a Sprinter  Van" with non-perishable items.  You may drop off your donation at a Mercedes-Benz of Smithtown Weekdays from 7:30 a.m - 8:00 p.m.   Island Harvest Food Bank is a leading hunger-relief organization that provides food and other resources to people in need. Always treating those it helps with dignity and respect, its goal is to end hunger and reduce food waste on Long Island through efficient food collection and distribution.

Vehicles that can seat nine or more passengers behind the driver, such as airport shuttles. Any cargo van where the passenger compartment is sealed off from the cargo compartment. That means that essentially all varieties of Sprinter models can qualify for these tax credits. We recommend you contact your accountant and your tax preparer in order to make sure you can take advantage of the 179 Tax Deduction if you have already purchased a Sprinter vehicle, or if you plan to purchase a Sprinter commercial vehicle in the coming year.

Hurricane Irma has left many people without vehicles, some have already started to reach out with needs of replacing a vehicle totaled by the storm. We will have staff on hand specifically prepared to work with those affected by the storm who are in need of finding and transporting a vehicle of any make/model. Our hope is to help ease some of the stress by assisting people to get their transportation abilities back. We are thinking about you and want to help.
