As Mercedes-Benz of Smithtown has been staying energized in regards to the electric future of Mercedes-Benz USA, we are amped up to introduce you to the newest Mercedes-Benz electric vehicle: the Mercedes-Benz Concept EQG!

With a plethora of G-Class models already outfitted and tackling terrains of all types, we are proud to welcome the Mercedes-Benz EQG into our diverse family of vehicles and conceptuals, including the Mercedes-BRABUS XLP 6×6, the 2023 Mercedes-Benz G 550 Professional Edition (with exclusive colorways!), the Mercedes-Benz Vision EQXX, and the 2023 Mercedes-Benz G 63 4×4 Squared!

With all-electric AWD and four motors independently mounted on each wheel, Mercedes-Benz has fitted this giant G-Class with high-performing power and instant torque. The Mercedes-Benz EQG is also outfitted with a tough underride guard to protect against stones, branches and any other anticipated off-road elements! Additionally, the eco-friendly Mercedes-Benz EQG Concept vehicle is outfitted with a battery as strong, resilient and water-resistant as its new underride guard!

Since 1979, the unmistakable silhouette of the Mercedes-Benz G Class has been taking over the local roads! Newly imagined for the future of eco-friendly festivities, the Mercedes-Benz G Class combines its iconic, conquering origins with help from Mercedes-Benz Chief Design Officer, Gorden Wagener.

With the creation of the Mercedes-Benz EQG comes the first-ever, 720-degree “G-TURN”!

To completely guarantee the iconic, eco-friendly G-Class performance, Mercedes-Benz created very unique, and VERY iconic, prototype testing parameters. Mercedes-Benz has utilized the original Mercedes-Benz G Class vehicles, in several models, to pin against the Mercedes-Benz EQG Concept vehicle. To “prove its mettle”, the Mercedes-Benz EQG sped back in time to beat its predecessors, the 2018 Mercedes-Benz G 500, the 2017 Mercedes-Benz G 550 4×4 Squared, the 2015 Mercedes-Benz G 650 and the Mercedes-AMG® G 63.

Schöckl Approved!

Mercedes-Benz has gone an entire step further to completely ensure the EQG’s eco-friendly yet feisty performance, or should we say a few steps further! As the ultimate test of endurance for each G-Class model since 1979, the Mercedes-Benz EQG now has to join its predecessors in completing the climb of Schöckl, the “Green Hell of Styria” THREE HUNDRED AND THIRTY SIX TIMES!!!!

With Ola Kallenius, CEO of Mercedes-Benz, at the helm and Sarah Harman at his side, the eco-friendly concept wagon from Mercedes-Benz conquered the high-climbing Graz mountain! Outside of Graz, Austria, this range is especially special not only as a G-Class prerequisite, but is also located just outside of where the Mercedes-Benz G Class vehicles are created!
