The midsize luxury SUV market is booming, and we’re thrilled to have both of these vehicles in our inventory. The GLC and QX50 represent the best in their class, each offering something unique to consumers. Let’s take a look at what makes these SUVs so special: Design & Style

  • Exterior Design

The 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLC’s exterior design is sleek and modern, giving it a futuristic look that will draw attention. The front grille is flanked by two thin headlights above wide air intakes, and a large hood flows down into an exaggerated overhang at the base of the windshield. From there, the roofline rises into a minor rear spoiler before dropping back down on either side of the trunk lid. It has traditional proportions with its long wheelbase, short front overhang, and high rear deck — all contributing to its sporty appearance. Its competitors have similar designs but don’t offer anything unique or exciting in comparison. Both vehicles are appealing overall but lack standout features that set them apart from other cars on the road today. Some might argue that they look too similar when parked next to each other.

  • Interior Design

The GLC’s interior design is a combination of elegance and simplicity. It’s not as flashy as the QX50, but it’s still a beautiful car to look at, with clean lines and streamlined surfaces that add to its sophisticated appeal. The dashboard is arranged so that all of your most important controls are easily accessible from the driver’s seat, which makes for easy use when you’re on the road. The Infiniti has more tech features than the GLC—its dashboard and console display different information depending on what mode you’re driving in—but you’ll have to learn how everything works before using it properly. Technology & Safety Both the 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLC and the 2022 Infiniti QX50 are equipped with automatic emergency braking, blind spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert. The 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLC also features adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go capability, lane-keeping assist and active lane change assist. The 2022 Infiniti QX50 has these features as well, but in addition, it adds turn assist. Performance The 2022 GLC has a 2.0L Inline Four engine with 255 hp, while the 2022 QX50 has a 2.2L V6 engine that produces 260 hp. Both engines are turbocharged, which means they have a lot of power and torque potential under the hood. The 2022 GLC has an average gas mileage rating of 22 mpg city/29 mpg highway/25 mpg combined, while the 2022 QX50 gets 20 mpg city/26 mpg highway/22 mpg combined on average. The 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLC comes with front-wheel drive, but all-wheel drive is available for all trim levels except for base models (which don’t even have AWD). The 2022 Infiniti QX50 only comes in front-wheel drive configurations and doesn’t offer any all-wheel drive system! The Bottom Line The 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLC is the better option based on our analysis above. It comes in at a lower price point with more features and options. The QX50 has an attractive design and great performance, but it doesn’t match the quality of German engineering you get when you buy a Mercedes-Benz.
