There are very few SUVs that are great with off-road or hauling capabilities and still look good. This is why the 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLS is interesting to most people. Its bulky profile allows it to be strong yet it still has a luxurious quality that is characterized by sophisticated features. It may seem impossible but the GLS shows how it can be done.

As a top-selling model, the 2020 Honda CR-V is visibly one of the best when it comes to vehicles with impossibly large cargo bays. It is also equipped with tech features that are appealing to most car enthusiasts. It is, however, not the best in its segment since it still has to defeat the GLS.

Design & Style

Being stylish is nothing new to the GLS. It is large, yes, but its proportions are nicely laid-out to come out looking voluptuous rather than too bulky. Technology & Safety

The new GLS has a more modern-looking infotainment for this year. The new MBUX acts like a reliable virtual assistant who responds when using natural voice commands. It can also respond well to a couple of inputs, like taps and flicks, which makes it intuitive to operate. Aside from the innovative technology, it also provides plenty of USB-C ports for everyone.

The infotainment system on the CR-V is simply frustrating to use. There are no controls available other than the rotary knob. There is also no auxiliary input which greatly limits the entertainment capability.

Performance

The GLS is impressive with its 3.0-liter 362 hp engine from the added electric motor. Have the 4.0- liter V-8 engine and you will end up having 483 hp which is pretty awesome. It unlocks a lot of capabilities, especially with hauling both people and cargo. Being weighed down is never a problem on the GLS as it innovatively uses technology to aid with its sporty handling.

The CR-V has a mere 1.5-liter turbo-4 which is good at keeping it fuel-efficient but not enough as a power car. The 190 hp is simply not enough compared to the impressive horsepower generated by the GLS.
