What is MBUX?

Mercedes-Benz User Experience, most commonly referred to as MBUX, is a top-of-the-line multimedia system that is designed to maximize your experience when driving your Mercedes-Benz vehicle.  Based on a touch interface, the infotainment display is located closer to your steering wheel to make it as easy as possible to use MBUX.  With a touch screen, touch buttons on the steering wheel, and touch pad on the center console, MBUX is brilliantly designed to make interacting with the system simple and efficient.  To navigate the infotainment display, you can simply touch the screen or use the touch buttons or touchpad to tap, pinch-to-zoom, and swipe.  Additionally, drivers can write using the touchpad on the center console to input addresses.

MBUX is designed to use Artificial Intelligence to enhance each users experience.  With the option to create User Profiles, drivers can create specific profiles which include their desired settings.  Additionally, the AI is able to determine each drivers usage habits to filter shortcuts into the “Suggestions” section of your display.  MBUX can determine what locations you frequently input into your navigation and when as well as radio stations you prefer to listen to during the day.

Finally, drivers can interact with their MBUX system without removing their hands from the wheel.  With MBUX, voice control is able to detect your command while speaking regularly.  Commands such as “where is the nearest coffee shop” and “call John” are easily detected and carried out by the system.
