The Friends of Benz- Summary of 2022-2023 Collaborations So Far
For the year of 2023, Mercedes-Benz hasn’t been shy when it comes to collaborations. As we accelerate towards the second quarter, Mercedes-Benz continues making waves and new friends!
In November of 2022:
Mercedes-Benz renewed their partnership with Riot Games until 2025. This decision was made while simultaneously developing Project SMNR with Riot Games as well. This renewal comes hand-in-hand with Mercedes-Benz developing their own Operating System: MB.OS. In January of 2023:
Mercedes-Benz teamed up with SUPERPLASTIC to create an iconic Mercedes-Benz “Wackeldackel”.
For those who don’t know, a wackeldackel is the classic “nodding dog” ornament that has graced the dashboards of vehicles for decades. The “wackeldackel” from Mercedes-Benz and SUPERPLASTIC has been titled “Superdackel.” This new character has starred in a collaborative and animated short film with SUPERPLASTIC’s main characters: Janky and Guggimon.
“The collaboration is part of Mercedes-Benz’s strategy to explore new realms in arts and entertainment and give customers memorable brand experiences.”

In February of 2023:
Mercedes-Benz and Google confirmed they are in a “long-term strategic partnership.”
“Mercedes-Benz will be the first automaker to build its own branded navigation and experience based on new in-car data and navigation capabilities from Google Maps Platform”– Mercedes-Benz Group AG
This navigational collaboration by Google and Mercedes-Benz will be utilized on the MB.OS software.
Additionally, during February of 2023:
Mercedes-Benz, Gorden Wagener, Chief Design Officer for Mercedes-Benz Group AG, and Moncler announced “Project MONDO G.”
Who/What is Moncler?
Moncler is an outerwear brand that was founded in 1952. This brand’s rise to popularity is due to its renowned down jacket. This specific jacket was created exclusively out of down material and had all of the STEM-workers and overall-wearers Moncler can look for its origin story within the roots of the
What is Project MONDO G? 
Project MONDO G is described as “The Art of Imagination” and this collaboration proves that there is no creative project too big, too intimidating or too over-encompassing!
