The 2023 Cadillac XT6 is a marvelous SUV with an upscale demeanor, roomy 3 row cabin, and extensive equipment. But can it beat the 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLC, an SUV which is highly regarded for its sleek exterior, spacious cabin and impressive performance?
Design & Style
A number of enhancements have been made to the Mercedes-Benz GLC Class this year, which includes a roundish roofline and turbo 4 drivetrain. Outside one can see the prominent tri star insignia in front, which is split with a horizontal metallic trim line. The rest of the frame features anodyne with refined sculpting and gentle sweeps, with triangular taillights in back. This includes adapted cruise control, night vision, blind area monitoring, emergency automated brakes, and lane management. Luxuries inside its cabin consist of wifi, eight inch touch display, wireless charging for smartphones, and the option of Android Auto or Apple CarPlay. Those that still watch DVDs in 2023 can install a player in back.
The Mercedes-Benz GLC has received stellar safety reviews from both the IIHS and NHTSA. It has all the same features as the XT6, including blind area monitoring and emergency automated brakes. Luxuries inside its cabin include a camera with surround view, climate control, twelve inch touch displays, dash cam service and augmented view which helps with navigation routes.
Performance
The Mercedes-Benz GLC is powered by a turbo 4 engine that can generate 258 horsepower and accelerate from zero to sixty in about 6.2 seconds. Its engine is wedded to an automatic nine speed transmission. The Cadillac XT6 comes with a 4 cylinder engine that is 2 liter and turbocharged with the ability to generate 237 horsepower, which enables it to accelerate from zero to sixty in 6.4 seconds.
The Bottom Line
Both SUVs are tied when it comes to safety, as they each use the same features and have both won awards. And though the Cadillac XT6 seats one more passenger, the Mercedes-Benz GLC has more horsepower and performance. And because the Cadillac XT6’s interior doesn’t have enough poshness for its asking price, this makes the swankier Mercedes-Benz GLC the winner.
