Mercedes-Benz VISION AVTR

Mercedes Benz of Smithtown is excited to introduce a new kid on the block in the Mercedes product line up. The Vision AVTR embodies the vision of Mercedes-Benz designers, engineers and trend researchers for mobility in the distant future. A groundbreaking concept in both design and functionality: the Vision AVTR is a fully electric 4 door coupe that encompasses the vision of a dynamic luxury saloon. 

A conventional dashboard is replaced by a curved display model that shows the world surrounding the vehicle with real-time 3D graphics as well as the road in front of you. These real time images bring the interior to life allowing passengers to discover and interact with their surrounding environment.

The Vision AVTR has a completely new and innovative design approach. Headlights are stylized to feature LED lights in the shape of the iconic three-pointed star connected by a thin light bar that can display a variety of animations. Silver Alubeam paint coats the whole vehicle including rear and side windows. The holistic design concept of the car merges the interior and exterior. The design goal was to create an immersive experience space in which passengers connect with each other, with the vehicle and the surrounding area in a unique way.

The Vision AVTR sets the stage for sustainability with vegan DINAMICA leather. DINAMICA is the first and only microfibre that guarantees environmental sustainability throughout the entire production cycle. The softness of the material gives occupants a “welcome home”  feeling. 

The Axial Flux Motor delivers substantially more power than conventional electric motors. A combined engine power of over 350 kW sets the Vision AVTR apart in the electric vehicle market. With exceptionally fast charging capability, the battery can fully recharge in less than 15 minutes. With a capacity of around 110 kWh, the VISION AVTR enables an electric range of more than 700 kilometers. 

The Vision AVTR responds to approaching passengers by visualizing the energy and information flow of the environment by utilizing digital neurons. The first interaction in the interior between man and vehicle happens intuitively via the control unit by placing a hand on the center console. The interior then comes to life as the vehicle can then sense the driver by their breathing.

Lifting the boundary between vehicles and living things, Mercedes-Benz  combines luxury and sustainability while working to create resource-saving vehicles. With the Vision AVTR, Mercedes is introducing the concept of a vehicle blending harmoniously into its environment and communicating with it. As soon as you enter the vehicle, the car becomes an extension of your own body and a tool to discover the environment.
