2020 Mercedes-Benz EQC – A New Path For Electric Driving

The new EQC is the first vehicle produced under the product and technology brand “EQ.” The fully electric, eco-friendly Mercedes-Benz EQC is the perfect match for green-minded customers who are looking for a luxury SUV. Equipped with an electric powertrain that produces 402 horsepower and 561 lb-ft of torque, the 2020 EQC delivers smooth and comfortable rides for five people. Standard Features

All models come with a handful of highly advanced features. Standard features include a sunroof, rain-sensing wipers, power liftgate, LED headlights, heated seats, and SiriusXM satellite radio. Upgrade to Premium or Advanced to get additional features such as wireless charging.

Engine, Transmission, and Performance

The EQC is equipped with two electric motors that are paired with a lithium-ion battery and a one-speed direct-drive transmission powers all four wheels. This powertrain produces 402 horsepower and 561 lb-ft of torque, ultimately giving the EQC the confident and sporty characteristics of all-wheel drive vehicles. Mercedes-Benz estimates the EQC to hit 0-60 mph in 4.8 seconds.

Range & Battery Life

Although final EPA measurements have yet to be released, the EQC driving range is estimated to be around 200 miles. Mercedes-Benz claims that the EQC recharges from 10 percent to 100 percent in 10 hours and with the standard DC fast-charger in use, the EQC recharges from 10 percent to 80 percent in just 40 minutes.

Interior & Exterior Design

The luxurious interior of the EQC is designed with high-quality materials, rose-gold accents, high-gloss plastics, and attractive textiles. The exterior grille and headlamps are combined in a sleek black-panel surface in the front.


The EQC is designed with two 10.25-inch screens. One is for the instrument cluster and the other is an infotainment system that is touchscreen. Equipped with an MBUX media system, the EQC responds to the driver’s natural, conversational language. The MBUX system is designed with additional EQ settings to help manage the vehicle’s charge status, energy flow, range display, and other features of electric driving. Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, SiriusXM satellite radio, and Burmester sound system come standard. Ambient lighting with 64 colors is available.


The EQC is equipped with SUV driver-assistance technology such as Standard Active Brake Assist, Speed Limit Assist and PRESAFE® system. Available Driver Assistance Systems include Active Distance Assist DISTRONIC, Active Blind Spot Assist, Active Lane Keeping Assist, PRESAFE® PLUS.
