The Mercedes-AMG® PureSpeed Concept was unveiled during late May 2024’s Monaco Formula 1 Grand Prix, Mercedes-AMG®’s 300th GP! This first preview of the Mercedes-AMG® PureSpeed Concept vehicle was a world-wide first look for fans, stemming from Mercedes-Benz’ upcoming Mercedes-Mythos series: an exclusive lineup of Mercedes-AMG® vehicles for clients seeking the iconic performance and luxury that is only implemented in Mercedes-AMG® and Mercedes-Benz chariots.

In May of 2024, in Monaco, Lewis Hamilton and George Russell, two heavily talented and celebrated members of the Mercedes-AMG® PETRONAS F1 team helped introduce this impressive innovation to the public. These impressive, world-renowned professional F1 drivers were the perfect figureheads to showcase the first-ever Formula 1 inspired Mercedes-AMG® vehicle! 

Alongside Lewis and George was the Mercedes-AMG® team ready to kick off the race weekend. Joining everyone was Michael Schiebe, Chairman of the Board of Management of Mercedes-AMG® GmbH and Head of the Mercedes-Benz G-Class & Mercedes-Maybach divisions, seen wearing white sneakers below.

Without a windscreen, Mercedes-AMG® introduces the HALO safety system, the modern replacement to the conventional windscreen, to residential drivers! Described as a “direct derivative of the premier class of motorsport”, the HALO system has been in every Formula 1 vehicle since 2018! The HALO safety system consists of a bracket connected to the body of the vehicle, shaped similarly to a halo, and protects the driver’s head in the event of an accident.
